Suffolk Mineral & Waste Management
The Preferred Options Draft Plan public consultation will launch on Monday 11 June 2018 at 5pm. This is following the County Council approving the consultation on 24 May 2018.
In response to feedback through the previous consultation, three of the proposed sites have now been reduced in area and site specific policies have been introduced on all sites.
Full details about the proposals are available at: www.suffolk.gov.uk/mineralsandwaste.
The online survey will go live at 5pm on Monday 11 June and at this point you will also be able to request a paper copy of the survey by calling, 0345 603 1842 or emailing email@example.com. You will also be able to carry out the survey over the phone on this number. There will be ten consultation events, where you will have an opportunity to speak to members of the minerals and waste team and fill in the consultation survey. The event at Tattingstone takes place at
Tattingstone Village Hall, 29 Church Road, Tattingstone, IP9 2NA on 25 June 2018 between 3pm and 7pm.
The consultation closes at 5pm on 23 July 2018.
Feedback from this consultation, along with the draft Plan will be submitted to the Planning Inspectorate. An examination in public is likely to take place in early 2019 and following this, the Planning Inspector will produce a report which will include recommendations and details of any changes required. The County Council will then adopt the resulting Plan as planning policy.
Only feedback from this consultation will be submitted to the Planning Inspectorate, therefore it is very important that residents review the updated proposals and provide their feedback.
